With the summer transfer window in full swing, Football Talk will be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer news throughout the summer. Today, Santi Cazorla meets his new Arsenal team mates.

Santi Cazorla met up with his soon-to-be new Arsenal team-mates on Friday but official confirmation of the deal has been delayed slightly, according to the Mirror.
The Spanish attacker passed a medical on Thursday and agreed a four-year contract worth £70,000-a-week after the Gunners agreed a deal with Malaga. Reports vary on the exact fee but the Mirror claim we’ll be paying £16m up front with add-ons that could see the deal reach £20m.
The 27-year-old was then showed around the clubs facilities including the training ground where he met he new Arsenal team-mates, who are believed to be excited by the talented Spaniards arrival.
However, despite everything being in place to rubber-stamp the deal, official confirmation has been delayed slightly due to Malaga’s financial problems, as it’s understood that there is no senior figure left within the club to sign-off the transfer.
Malaga have racked up over £40m worth of debts and the Qatar owners are currently working hard to find a new buyer. Several directors have left the club and they are struggling to find somebody in a senior position able to sign the documents at their end, but this is expected to be resolved in the coming days with Cazorla officially revealed as an Arsenal player early next week.

Great signing, just need RVP to realise that the grass isn’t greener elsewhere and decide to stay. The defence is still a worry but hopefully Arsene has something in the pipeline for that problem but I am sure Steve Bould will be working hard to resolve it with the players he has. Could be great season especially if Diaby can stay fit and realise his huge potential.

so you were not smilimg when he brought us the championship in 98,02 and 04 ? and you were not smilimg when he brought us FA cup un 98, 02, ‘3 and 05 ? and you were not smiling when we he brought us to the champions league final in 2006 ? so unless you are 10 years old and you don’t know anything about arsene and arsenal or you just want to say bad things about our manager !

I’m so flabbergasted on these reinforcements. welcome podolski giroud and cazorla but my doubt is on giroud i don’t see him to be a solid or forceful stricker i doubt he would be a threat to EPL diffenders i really doubt his ability

I am delighted with this signing. What a shame that Arsenal would not not pay 17 m for 22 year Jaun Mata last year but paid almost 20 m for 27 year old.

Guys… This is NOT yet a done deal, it could still fall through at the last minute… Cazorla is NOT an Arsenal player until it is announced by the club itself.. When it appears on Arsenal.com then you know it is true, all these other sites and blogs are just rumour mongers and wishful thinkers.
