€30m-Rated Uruguay International Wants Move

Several Premier League clubs have been alerted to the news that Porto defender Alvaro Pereira is keen to secure a move this summer, according to Sky Sports News

With the summer transfer window in full swing, Football Talk will be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer news throughout the summer. Today, Alvaro Pereira wants to leave Porto this summer.

Several Premier League clubs have been alerted to the news that Porto defender Alvaro Pereira is keen to secure a move this summer, according to Sky Sports News.

The Uruguay international has become one of Euorope’s most highly-rated full backs after another excellent season in Portugal, and Porto are said to value the player at €30million (£23.8m).

Having joined the Portuguese champions in 2009 from Romanian side CFR Cluj, Pereira has gone on to make over 70 appearances for the club but it now seems he feels the time is right to move on with a number of European clubs interested.

Heading the queue are Chelsea, who have been strongly linked with the full-back for over a year, but Sky Sports suggest that Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as PSG, Napoli and Juventus, are also interested in the 26-year-old.

Pereira’s representative, Flavio Perchmen, has confirmed his client hopes to leave Porto this summer, but they are waiting for clubs to make their move.

“I spoke with Alvaro last week and he is calm. We are waiting to find out if there is any offer.

“We think everything will go well and that he can leave the club, but right now we do not have any concrete offer.”

Perchmen is quoted as saying by Sky Sports

You have to laugh at Redknapp and how he fought to keep Modric at White Hart Lane last season when in fact he gave up on him and it was Levy who retained him. Really all we can thank Redknapp for was losing thirteen points in the run in and consting us Champions League because he gave up thinking he had the Engalnd job in the bag.

RDM should learn to play mikel with ramires in order to synchronize the defence and attack.he should go for a versatile replacement for bosingwa then give the team victor moses and a powerful striking option

he is a right, a right fullback, understand ? i seen him play against us for cluj in 2008 and he was absolutely fantastic. he gave cole all kinds of trouble going forward and would not let him past all night hence 0-0 result. as a right back we can not really get much better in my opinion.

language differs, chelsea supporters can speak good english and can speak kuwari as well which you can’t. for the player, he is a right back and we need him at chelsea but not more than €15mil

Readin all ur coments I found some that make sence to some I couldn’t get d mesage propaly.the guy in question is a right back so if chelfc is going 4 him d should go in full force.we are lackin in so many areas,a striker n right back. mikel has notin 2 do wit d situation instead he is seeing as an engine rum in d midpack of chel.go 4 d guy d blues 4 life.
