Liverpool FC have confirmed on their official website Liverpoolfc.com that they have agreed a deal to sign Moroccan winger Oussama Assaidi from SC Heerenveen.

Liverpool have confirmed on Liverpoolfc.com that they have agreed a deal to sign winger Oussama Assaidi from SC Heerenveen.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers said today that he hoped to tie up two deals in the coming 48 hours and he has now been able to announce the first of those proposed transfers after agreeing a deal to bring 24-year-old Assaidi to Anfield.
The Moroccan is now due on Merseyside to undergo a medical and should be confirmed as a Liverpool player before the weekend.
Assaidi joined Heerenveen in 2009 from De Graafschap and has enjoyed three excellent seasons in the Eredivisie, scoring 20 goals in his 68 appearances for the club.
He has also earned himself 22 caps for his country, scoring 1 goal, after making his debut in February 2011. Arguably his finest hour came when he scored a hat-trick and grabbed three more assists during a 6-2 for Heerenveen against FC Twente. Watch the youngster in action here:
