[Video Goals] WBA 3-0 Liverpool: Agger Off As Rodgers Has Nightmare Start

By on August 18, 2012

Brendan Rodgers suffered a nightmare start to his Liverpool reign with a 3-0 loss away to West Bromwich Albion.

Zoltan Gera put the home side ahead just before half time with a stunning long range effort that gave Pepe Reina no chance. Reds defender Daniel Agger was then sent off early in the second half for a tug on Shane Long inside the box, but the striker saw his spot kick saved by Reina.

However, minutes later WBA were awarded another penalty and Peter Odemwingie made no mistake this time for 2-0 before Romelu Lukaku made it 3-0 late on.
