Rodgers To Draft In Spanish Starlet

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to draft in young Spanish starlet Suso to solve the clubs striking problems after being left with limited option up front

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to draft in young starlet Suso to solve the clubs problems up front, according to the Daily Mail.

Rodgers was disappointed by the clubs transfer dealings this summer which has left him short of attacking options for at least the next 4 months.

Forwards Dirk Kuyt, Craig Bellamy and Andy Carroll were all allowed to leave Anfield with only Fabio Borini brought in as Rodgers failed to add to his squad on transfer deadline day.

This has left him overly-reliant on Luis Suarez in attack but the Northern Irishman is ready to raid his reserves squad and give his youngsters a chance to prove themselves, with Spanish ace Suso set to be the first to benefit.

‘There might need to be an intermediary way of working now,’ Rodgers told the Anfield Wrap.

‘Boys like Suso will get their opportunity. The percentage Under 21s playing in the Premier League is statistically very, very small. We are going to be stretched the limit and [we’ll be telling them] “if you’ve got little niggles and injuries you’ve got to man up.”

‘We’ve got to be together and be strong.

‘This [situation] will allow guys to stand up to the plate. You get an opportunity but you have got to take it.’

‘The younger players will run through a barbed wire fence for you,’

‘The older players will look for a hole in the fence – and probably find one!’

Rodgers is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail

The former Swansea boss has already called upon the services of 17-year-old Raheem Sterling and 18-year-old Adam Morgan this season but it seems Suso is set to join them in the senior squad.

The 18-year-old joined Liverpool from Cadiz in 2010 and has impressed in the reserves ever since. He has gone on to represent Spain at Under 17,18 and 19 level and is tipped to be a star of the future at Anfield.

Yeah, I don’t know who made this story up, but Suso is a midfielder and isn’t suited to playing striker or winger.

He is an incredible talent though and I believe he should get a go in the first team this season.

What Liverpool really needs is a striker who can score goals. They have had players who can create chances, but nobody to convert them.
So what good is a young midfielder if there’s nobody to score the goals.

Play Jamie Hoofer Carragher as striker and Liverpool’s offensive problem will be solved. Jamie would prove to be a gem of a player who will cause never-ending panic and confusion to both team mates and the opposition alike thereby creating numerous scoring opportunities that would be seized upon by the Reds.

So where will Suso play??….its going to b difficult to draft him to a midfield where we have Gerrard,Allen and with Shelvey’s latest form, Sahin is still try to blend wit d premiership. In d attacking third,Raheem is doin fine,Suarez is there, and I don’t see Rodgers keepin Borini on d bench cos as wit most managers, they won’t want to admit their mistake…..though Rodgers looks very much like a Realist I will really admire him more if he can create a space for Suso and Yesil if Yesil continues to impress…..Borini shld come from d bench I think.

Though suso is gud but let him (BR) shold give the young german samed yesil a chance 2 prove his worth in the premier league
i will prefer raheem sterlin, samed yesil and suarez up front den borini downin pacheco as a strikin substitute
then in the defend he should play johnson coates/agger skrtel downin/enrique/flanagan midfieldas shain,allen,shelvey/gerrad joe cole/henderson

Yesil can solve our problem. Play him. Borini, Suso and Morgan could come in as alternative.
