Arsenal Eye £12m January Move For Midfielder

Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue and are preparing a £12m January bid for the 24-year-old France international

Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, Arsenal are linked with a French midfielder.

Etienne Capoue

Arsenal are ready to reignite their interest in Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue and are preparing a £12m January bid, according to talkSPORT.

Gunners fans endured another summer of upheaval at the Emirates with the signings of Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski counteracted by the loss of striker Robin van Persie to Manchester United and midfielder Alex Song to Barcelona.

Boss Arsene Wenger suggested that he would sign a replacement for Song before the summer transfer window closed, with Capoue one of several names linked. But no new midfielder was signed before the August 31st deadline with Wenger seemingly happy with his midfield options.

However, talkSPORT claim Wenger is still hoping to land the impressive 24-year-old defensive midfielder and is ready to submit a bid of around £12m when the January window opens.

Capoue has become one of the most highly-rated midfielders in Ligue 1 after a string of fine displays at the heart of the Toulouse midfield.

His performances have also earned him a call-up to the French national side and he was on the scoresheet during Tuesday’s 3-1 World Cup qualifying win over Belarus.

We definitely need this guy at arsenal,I’ve seen him play and he is with out a doubt in my opinion in the top 5 defensive mid in the world, moving to a big club like arsenal will only make him better but there will be alot of competition for his signature he’s that gd.pls arsene spend that cash 12million ain’t alot for a player of this quality the club he’s at could easily ask £25-£30 mil so get him while he’s still cheap.come on u gooners

Sign him up Wenger! Diaby was great against Liverpool, but can we really expect a full season from him?

It certainly looks like the Yann M’Vila move is dead an we could do with some extra cover.

We dont need him (def mid) i believe the partnerships of Arteta,Diaby,Coquelin,Wilshere,Ramsey and Rosicky will be do very nicely indeed, much like it was the pairing of wowo Vieira & petit that was so formidable, better than any 1 man in 1 position, it makes for an all rounding central midfield. Thank you.

arsen winger shoul not miss dis player again, if he can try and buy dat playe it will be the best, bcs diaby can not hold dat milfider like song and diaby is also a injury player.
