Manchester United get back to Premier League action this weekend after the two week international break as they welcome Wigan Athletic to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
United will be looking to make it three wins from three games after successive 3-2 victories over Fulham and Southampton, following their 1-0 defeat to Everton on the opening weekend.
Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping to exact revenge on Wigan after their 1-0 loss at the DW Stadium last season was a key game in United missing out on the Premier League title.
Roberto Martinez’s men have enjoyed a decent start to the new season including a 2-0 win away at newly-promoted Southampton.
Team News
Fergie is expected to be able to call upon the services of summer signings Robin van Persie and Shinji Kagawa despite the pair being injury doubts ahead of the game.
RVP picked up a minor thigh injury while away with Holland and Kagawa has a back complaint, but both trained on Friday and are set to feature.
However, Wayne Rooney joins Chris Smalling, Ashley Young and Phil Jones on the sidelines. Darren Fletcher is back in the squad but is unlikely to be called upon just yet.
Wigan are likely to be forced into making one change with Jean Beausejour picking up a hamstring injury during their last match with Stoke.
Paraguay defender Antolin Alcaraz has an abductor problem but is expected to be passed fit as is midfielder James McArthur, who is likely to feature despite a back problem.
On-loan Arsenal forward Ryo Miyaichi is expected to remain on the bench despite improving his fitness during the international break.
Likely Line-ups

Predicted Score
Manchester United are understandably heavy favourites for this one and we can’t see beyond a home win with Van Persie continuing his goal-scoring run. Man Utd 2-0 Wigan.
