Shawcross Set For Big-Money Move?

Ryan Shawcross could be in line for a big-money move with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all tracking the 25-year-old Stoke City defender.

Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, Ryan Shawcross is linked with several Premier League clubs.

Ryan Shawcross could be set for a big-money move with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all tracking the Stoke City defender, according to the Sky Sports News.

Shawcross has become one of the Premier League’s most reliable defenders, with his consistent performances at the back helping Stoke establish themselves as a top flight club since winning promotion back in 2008.

The 25-year-old’s impressive form in recent seasons has seen him break into the England national team set-up and it could earn him a move to one of the league’s big-guns if Sky Sports are to be believed.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are all monitoring the Potters’ captain’s progress and are thought to be weighing up the merits of a potential swoop.

Shawcross is entering the final 18 months of his contract at the Britannia Stadium and while Stoke would do all they could to hang on to the aggressive stopper, they may be powerless to stop him leaving should one of the Premier League top sides make a move.
