Gallardo: John Terry Has Asked To Leave Chelsea In January

FIFA agent Francois Gallardo claims Chelsea captain John Terry wants to leave Stamford Bridge and is deep in discussions with Valencia over a January move.

Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, John Terry has asked to leave Chelsea.

FIFA agent Francois Gallardo claims Chelsea captain John Terry wants to leave Stamford Bridge and is in deep discussions with Valencia over a January move, according the Mirror.

Terry has endured a turbulent 12 months in England after going on trial over allegations of racial abuse aimed at QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

The FA handed the Blues skipper a four-match ban and hefty fine while Chelsea also dished out their own internal punishments, thought to include a club-record fine.

FIFA agent Francois Gallardo suggests that the 31-year-old defender has had enough and has asked to leave the West London club.

Gallardo claims he has personally been involved in discussions over the past two weeks that would see Terry make a January move to Valencia, with the Spanish side offering an 18 month deal with the option of a further year, and the agent feels the former England captain is ready to accept the move.

Gallardo is quoted in the Mirror as saying:

“Valencia are negotiating, and I am involved in person, with the signing in the winter transfer market.

“The offer is on his table. The player is out of contract in June and will not renew there for several reasons at Chelsea and he wants to come to Spain.

“Terry has problems. They are insulting him and he is not taking it anymore. He asked to leave, not us.

“It’s real. This has been going on for 15 days and two meetings have already took place. The deal is already on his table – a year and a half plus one.

“I think he will accept.”
