Guardiola Wants Chelsea Job Next Season

Foremer Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola wants to replace Roberto Di Matteo at Stamford Bridge and become the next Chelsea boss at the end of the current season

Pep Guardiola wants to replace Roberto Di Matteo at Stamford Bridge and become the next Chelsea boss at the end of the current season, according to the Daily Mail.

The former Barcelona boss wants to return to management next summer and the Mail claim he has made it clear to close friends that he wants his future to be at Stamford Bridge.

After a hugely successful playing career with Barcelona, Guardiola enhanced his legendary status at the Nou Camp after winning three La Liga titles and two European Cups in his four seasons as manager.

The 41-year-old decided to quit at the end of last season after announcing he was taking a year out the game, but it didn’t stop Chelsea making an approach for his services as they searched for a full-time manager in the summer.

Guardiola rejected the Blues advances, insisting he needed a year out to re-charge his battery’s, and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich eventually handed Roberto Di Matteo the full-time managers position on a two-year deal.

However, the Mail report that Guardiola has been impressed by the European Champions change in playing philosophy and claim the Spaniard wants to take up the reigns at Stamford Bridge next summer.

It will be a huge test for Abramovich – who is notorious for being quick to fire his managers – and it remains to be seen what he will do with Di Matteo should Guardiola make it clear to the Russian he wants to be part of the clubs long-term plans.

However, cynics will say the fact Abramovich only gave Di Matteo a two-year deal signifies he may have seen this situation coming and he has the option to dismiss the Italian at the end of the season with minimal financial outlay to get the man he really wants – Pep Guardiola.

What do Chelsea fans think? Will Guardiola replace Di Matteo at the end of the season?

Guardiola doesn’t guarantee anything.Ancelloti,Mourino are all top manager and European Champion Manager. Our Brazilian manager is a World Champion.nevertheless, what happened to them.Guardiola look good because he inherit a good team when he bacame a coach.I’m in the opinion that Chelsea should stick with Di Matteo. He had achieved glory and against all odd had made Chelsea FA Champion and European champion. He had also turn Chelsea into an attacking team with worderful display. We should let him finish his contract and then assess his performance.Guardiola should blamed himself if he do not get Chelsea post.He was offered but he reject.I don’t feel is right for him just to inherit the hard work of Di Matteo by replacing him as CXhelsea manager.

Pep Gardiola Barcelona was beaten by Chelsea. They are second to Real Madrid. Mourino had finally overcome him and outplayed him tactically. As I mentioned Guordiola, inherit a good team from Frank Rijkard.Once Mourino overcome him,he could not take preasure and possibility he is unable tp take the preasure of Chelsea Manager.just simply minus Messi and d Iniesta, Pep could not achieved anything.

I think Di Matteo would do well. Pep is somehow racist and that would affect the chances of GOOD black players at Chelsea. I sincerelly think Abramovich should exercise patience and see what Di Matteo brings. For Pep he should stay off.

He wants to sleep on already made bed of Di Matteo, Pep should go to Ac Milan or Man City not Chelsea, Roberto Di has what it takes to be Chelsea manager for so many years and i dont think Pep is better than Di Matteo. Chelsea should not do the same mistake they did with Mourinho who was the best manager in the club history then but now Di Matteo is the best and Chelsea could lose their best Manager ever in search of another flop then continue to struggle with managers, every season one manager. My people we have to understand one thing:::::
Di matteo is a man God destiny to manage chelsea….
By bringing gurdiola chelsea will be playing nothing just like the time of AVB
If i were to be Abrahimovic i will rather allow di matteo to carry on his mission with cfc
Gurdiola ran away just because he lost his semi cl against chelsea
Chelsea also link with him in d same last season but deny the linK… …….MATTEO IS THE SHOSEN ONE………….

Di mattio will make Guadiola to come in if he continue playing torres. With torres up front chelsea will go no where. Chelsea needs strikers who can put in goals. A coach like morinho and faguson will never stick with such player.

I wish Drogba was still a Chelsea player . If Drogba has stayed with Chelsea, we wouldn’t be making all these speculation about Pep and Rdm. If Torres had played good football against Swansea and Manchester United, all these speculation wouldn’t have been made. Roman!!!!! Get a better Striker and forget this ” Dream for Pep” of a thing . Torres is the player limiting Chelsea and Di matteo
