Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to give new boss Rafa Bentiez an early Christmas present by splashing £128m on three of the world’s hottest properties, according to the Evening Standard.

After an excellent start, Chelsea’s season has faltered in recent weeks as a run of no wins in five league games has seen then blow a four-point lead at the top of the table to currently sitting four points adrift of Manchester City in third place. The Blues defence of their Chamions League trophy also looks set to end early as they face an uphill battle to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

The run cost Di Matteo his job but Abramovich is ready to rejuvenate his attacking options with three South American stars when the window re-opens, despite spending almost £100m on new talent in the summer.

Top of his wish-list is long-term target Radamel Falcao. Chelsea have been tracking the Atletico Madrid hitman for some time and are prepared to pay the £44m to trigger his release clause in his contract.

The club are also lining up a bid for Napoli forward Edinson Cavani, who has become one of Europe’s most sought-after players after scoring an impressive 81 goals in 111 games for the Italians since joining from Palermo in 2010, but the 25-year-old will cost in the region of £48m.

The third man on the wish-list is Porto winger James Rodriguez. The Colombian ace has been likened to Cristiano Ronaldo and 21-year-old has a £36m buy-out clause in his contract.

Many Blues fans has been left disappointed with their Russian owner over his treatment of Roberto Di Matteo and replacing him with the unpopular choice of Rafa Benitez, but i’m sure all will be forgiven he signs Falcao, Cavani and Rodriguez in January.

Can Chelsea pull off this stunning triple swoop? We’ll have to wait and see but you wouldn’t put it past Abramovich!

How excited would Chelsea fans be if these three players are signed in January? Get involved in the comments section.

i do not think roman can do this shit to RDM for been the only coach to satisfy him..that means that if guardiola was employed too he can not satisfy Roman, now he wants to sign players about 128m

Am ashame to have that ”Oliver twist”as the owner of the club I love with all my heart. You want EPL,FA and Carling cup trophies and Mourinho,Hidink and Ancheloti gave you respectively and Evram Grant took your club to CL final final only to lost it by a player’s mistake and he was shown the exist door. Now the coach that landed the most soughted trophy ( CL )has been sacked for losing 3 matches and drawing 2.

this would be the sickest thing!! cavani and falcao, and also if benitez manages to bring back the form torres had at liverpool. Our attacking options would be amazing! not gonna lie though kinda wish we still had robbie with us, dont think it was his thought for our bad spell, more the fact we our missing influential players, especially terry

i am not happy for the sack.this is a caoch that won ucl for the first time in their history why not give him a chance? For the signings is a good one to attacking force.
