Chelsea and Tottenham target Willian says he’s working hard to ensure he seals a move away from Shakhtar Donetsk, with the London duo expected to bid in January

Despite the transfer window being closed, there is always transfer gossip doing the rounds in the papers and we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest news during the coming months. Today, Willian is working hard to secure a move.

Shakhtar Donetsk Willian

Chelsea and Tottenham target Willian says he’s working hard to ensure he seals a move away from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to talkSPORT.

The Brazilian attacker has made no secret of his desire to move to the Premier League, with Chelsea and Tottenham tracking the player for well over a year.

Shakhtar have so far been able to hang on to the 24-year-old and insist it will take a huge offer to persuade them to sell. However, Willian is confident offers for his services will come in and he’s working hard on the pitch to ensure top clubs come in for him, but until the time comes for him to make the move he will continue to help Shakhtar on their Champions League journey.

“I’m very happy with my moment at the club and I intend to keep living this moment,”

“As for a possible transfer, there will be offers for sure and I work so that it happens.

“My club and my representatives will decide my future. I’m focused on helping Shakhtar to keep making history in the Champions League.”

Willian is quoted as saying by talkSPORT

Chelsea were strongly linked with a move for the attacker in the summer but couldn’t agree a deal with the Ukrainians, and they are expected to renew their interest when the window re-opens in January.

I don’t see why the chavs would want/need him other than to stop him going to their opposition.I mean look at the midfield they got already! So long as Levy can get around the fee this would be a great signing for Spurs and would address the Luka/Rafa problem once and for all. He’d be much more likely to get a regular spot with Spurs for sure.Come on Willian you know it makes sense!

There should be a salary cap in football. I am sick of teams like ManU, City and Chelsea poaching every good player they can whenever they have a problem or God forbid, loose a game. It keeps the balance of power with the teams that have all the money.
