[Teams] Arsenal vs Swansea: Confirmed Line-ups

By on December 1, 2012

Arsenal welcome Swansea City to the Emirates on Saturday afternoon looking for three points to close the gap on the top-four.

Successive away draws with Aston Villa and Everton have left us in seventh place in the league – five points adrift of fourth-placed West Brom – so victory today is vital to maintain our hopes of a top-four finish.

Arsene Wenger has decided to rest Olivier Giroud, with Lukas Podolski starting up front in place of the Frenchman. Gervinho comes in on the left for Aaron Ramsey while Theo Walcott starts on the right.

Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Arsenal Team

Szczesny, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Walcott, Podolski, Gervinho

Subs: Mannone, Squillaci, Coquelin, Ramsey, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud.

Tremmel, Rangel, Williams, Chico, Davies, Britton, de Guzman, Ki, Dyer, Michu, Shechter

Subs: Cornell, Monk, Tiendalli, Agustien, Richards, Moore, Donnelly.
