Arsenal are in Greece to face Olympiakos in their final Champions League group game hoping for all 3 points to secure top spot. Here are the confirmed line-ups

Arsenal are in Greece to face Olympiakos in their final Champions League group game hoping for a win to secure top spot.

We’ve already qualified for the knockout stages but currently sit second in the table behind Schalke so need to hope the German outfit lose away to Montpellier and beat Olympiakos to qualify as Group B winners.

Arsene Wenger has taken the opportunity to rest several first team players with the likes of Walcott, Podolski, Cazorla, Arteta, Mertesacker, Gibbs, Wilshere and Giroud all left behind.

It gives some of the fringe players a chance to shine with Ramsey, Chamakh, Squillaci and Coquelin complimenting the likes of Vermaelen, Gervinho, Szczesny and Chamberlain in the starting eleven. Jernade Meade makes his first start at left back. Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Olympiakos Team

Carroll, Maniatis, Machado, Conteras, Manolas, Torossidis, Fejsa, Diakité, Greco, Abdoun, Djebbour

Subs: Megyeri, Ibagaza, Fetfatzidis, Fuster, Siovas, Pantelić, Mitroglou.

Arsenal Team

Szczesny, Meade, Vermaelen, Squillaci, Jenkinson, Rosicky, Chamberlain, Ramsey, Coquelin, Gervinho, Chamakh.

Subs: Shea, Angha, Hajrovic, Monteiro, Arshavin, Ansah, Akpom

Elsfied is not legible to play while gnabry is injured. Any way we have already lost before the first ball is kicked.

I would have gone for Arshavin starting in place of Rosicky, who needs to be brought into action slowly after his long lay-off.
