Zaha: I’m An Arsenal Fan But They Stress Me Out

By on December 5, 2012

Wilfred Zaha

Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha has confirmed he’s an Arsenal fan but claims the club is ‘stressing him out’ with their latest performances.

Zaha is one of the hottest properties in the UK after breaking into the England team set up last month and most of the Premier League big-guns have been linked. The Daily Mail are one of several media outlets who claim we’ve scouted the Crystal Palace ace extensively this season and are preparing a January bid for the young attacker.

Well the good news is the 20-year-old has confirmed he’s an Arsenal fan, which will surely go in our favour when trying to land him, but the bad news is he seems to be sharing in the frustration many Gooners are feeling at this time.

Shortly after Arsenal had surrendered a 1-0 lead to be trailing 2-1 at Olympiakos on Tuesday night, Zaha took to Twitter to air his frustrations saying:

“I swear I’m not watching Arsenal anymore”

…before saying he’s a ‘stressed out’ Arsenal fan:

Zaha also re-tweeted Mark Bright when he said:

‘Arsenal are poor. Plain and simple. Sorry @IanWright0 its so annoying watching them, used be made of steel. Now, papier mache!’

It’s good to hear one of the brightest young talents in the game is an Arsenal fan and if he’s a true Gooner, there is only one club he’ll be leaving Palace for, and it’s also nice to see he cares enough to get stressed when we play badly. We could use a bit more of that at the club right now!

Sometimes you get the feeling some of the current squad couldn’t care less when we lose. I’m sure that’s not the case but there is no question we need more ‘fight’ in the side and a proper Gooner like Zaha wouldn’t be a bad start, oh and he can play a bit too!

Would you like to see Zaha at Arsenal in January?

I’m an Arsenal fan 2 the core, but I’ve vowed never 2 watch their game again until Arsene Wenger and his evil men leave so that things can be turned around for the club. I hate the manager, I hate the Board. Shame on you all!

Clearly you’re real arsenal fans…. Idiots! I’ve been a gooner since my old man took me to my first match when I was 6 years old in 1987, and I’ve had a season ticket ever since. I’m a gooner through and through, WIN LOSE or DRAW. I’m proud of my team! Wenger isn’t the problem with arsenal, it’s plastic fans like you. If you don’t want to watch your team because they’re going through a bit of a rough patch then go support someone else, cos you’re not wanted!!! Why don’t you give me one manager in world football that can do what wenger has done( go unbeaten in a season, new stadium, champ league every season, change English football, the list goes on), with the little money he’s had. Compare what arsenal were before he came to now. People have short memories. Sure we haven’t won any cups in the last 7/8 years, but look at who have: man utd, Chelsea, man city. Look at the money they’ve spent, and have to spend compared to us, yet we still compete with them year on year.As for the others, would you rather be in Liverpool or spurs’ shoes…..not in a million years mate. Arsenal have always had the wage structure, it’s not wenger that implements it, it’s the board. Do you realy think wenger wanted to sell rvp, nasri, fab4, etc, of course not! It’s not like the money goes into wenger’s pocket, and anyone who thinks it does is stupid!! GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM!!!!

Finally, someone with a bit of sense! Glory hunters can go and support ManU, ManC & Chelsea….. or whichever the next big oil company football club.
However, I must say our contract negotiation skill is a disgrace! Gazidis really need to take a leaf out of Dein’s book. How many players were gagging to leave only for Dein to talk them some sense into staying?
Sorry, but this isn’t the US league, the league doesn’t own the players, you can’t just expect to do whatever you want with the players anymore. Also their verbal agreement means absolutely dxxk! Get them to sign on the dotted line!!

i completely agree with the lads here. supporting a team when its down counts more than when its winning!.. been a gooner since almost 14 years now and i have never lost faith in wenger. even last season when we was down the league we still managed to finish third. who the hell do u think got rvp his magic left foot?. wenger is not the problem but the board is. we need wenger to be make the major decisions without involving Hill-Wood, like the freedom fergie enjoys.

nevertheless zaha would be an insane and much required addition to the current squad but i just hope he doesnt come in when theos walking out. it look a long time to get theo scoring goals dont want to lose him to some money throwing pimp clubs.

Oh no! you mean your going to stop watching internet streams and commenting on blogs? what will will do without your bad English and african player ass kissing?? lol Disgusting fake idiot. We don’t want you fake fans anyway, Im a season ticket holder (basically a real fan who actually pays towards the club) on you jog, don’t come back. COYG!

Few fans can do much to change their club.
We all dream of it though.

Zaha is one of those very lucky people. As was Shearer….legend. No one looks down on him for what he attempted.

Shearer had the guts; does Zaha?

I think Mr. Wenger have secretly signed a contract somewhere and wants to destroy Arsenal so we don’t give him too much competition where ever he goes.

Sad times, but things will get better next season now that the loan is done.

Also we’ve got the much needed cash to spend. However if the Manager and the board again don’t spend this summer, then this will border to sabbotage.

Arsenal problem is probably the board & arsene wenger,so wenger need to leave b’cus am very sure may be this man sign pre contract with another club & he want to put arsenal in the same way dat benitex put liverpool.i pray liverpool problem should not happen to arsenal b’cus if it happen is relegation b’cus liverpool can spend money while arsenal can’t.

Mr Al and all the other people claiming to be a better Arsenal than those (including Me) who are saying Mr Wenger should go, are too myopic to see that drastic change is what arsenal need, hence arsenal will be just another liverpool (falling to rise no more). Wenger has ran short of ideas. Mr Wenger it’s time to take a bow! He can still remain @ arsenal fc but definitely not as a coach! Presently, He is bringing out the worst in all the players…Podolski, Carzola, Arshavin, Ramsey, Chamakh, vermaelen etc were not as bad as they are before they came to Arsenal( take a moment to think before you crucify me). We have the players, We just don’t have the coach. Arsenal has better players than man utd, but they have a team n Spirit. Which is what Arsenal lacks and that is up to the coach to instill into the players. Wenger is not that type of coach

Let me tell u, wenger contrbutes 40per cent of arsenal problem, because have the power to tell the board what he wants, who sanction the sell of most players without replacement, arsenal board is after their slfist interest, y nt promote usmanov to board of trustee, hilwood is afraid of usmanov, because if usmanov is in the shoes of kronke, he wud’ve removed.
