Mourinho & Klopp In The Frame As Chelsea Draw-up Managerial Short-List

By on December 8, 2012

Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp are two names under consideration after Chelsea began drawing up a list of alternatives for Pep Guardiola, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims that Blues officials have held extensive talks with Guardiola about becoming their next boss but the Spaniard has expressed reservations about working under Blues owner Roman Abramovich after being left surprised by the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo just six months after winning a Champions League and FA Cup double.

According to the Mail, the former Barcelona boss is also believed to be concerned that he won’t be given the time he needs to put his mark on the Chelsea squad after seeing Abramovich go through eight managers in nine-and-a-half years at the Bridge, while his demand for total control over footballing affairs could also be a problem.

The report says Chelsea’s technical director Michael Emenalo has begun drawing-up a list of alternatives with Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp and former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho featuring on their list. It’s understood that Abramovich is an admirer of Klopp’s after seeing him lead Dortmund to consecutive Bundesliga titles, while the Russian may look to patch-up his differences with Mourinho should he leave Madrid in the summer.

The Guardian were one of several media outlets who claim Mourinho is set to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season and it would be a remarkable move if he was to return to the Bridge where he spent four years between 2004-2007.

Klopp has done a fantastic job with Dortmund and i would like to see him manage soon in the Premier League. Will it be with Chelsea? Only time will tell but if he is brought in next summer, i hope he’s given more time than Di Matteo to stamp hi authority on the Blues squad.

Theirs only one ‘special one’ next summer will be the return of him 🙂 if he is not then he will never come back to the bridge but my gut feeling is jose WILL be back next summer…

The question is,would MOU come? If chelsea owner can accept his fault and give him total control like madrid, then there is no better alternative than MOU.

As a season ticket holder,I do not want Moanrinho
back at Chelsea. When he arrived first at the club
everything was fresh and exciting and we were
superb with Duff and Robben in a 4-3-3 system and the team were successful but something
changed for the worse. The football got so
predictable and boring, with the full backs never
crossing the halfway line.It was not a surprise to
me when he was sacked as he kept bringing the
club into disrepute and he thought that he was
more important than Chelsea. He is the big I am.
    Despite having ,Terry,Carvalho,Lampard,Essien,
Drogba,Duff,Cech and Robben all at their peak he was getting poor results.Carlo won the double
playing far better attacking football and the club
was held in a far more positive view by everyone.
We don’t need to go back to the big I am.

Chelseafc is and will always be the team for the only and only special one,Mourinho. Abramovich made the biggest mistake the day he sacked him
