Liverpool crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Anfield on Saturday afternoon thanks to a double from Christian Benteke.

Despite lots of possession, the home side couldn’t find the breakthrough and paid the ultimate price when Benteke fired home from the edge of the area for 1-0 midway through the first half. Villa doubled their advantage just before the break when Weimann was on hand to make it 2-0 before Benteke danced through the Reds defence to make it 3-0 just after half time. Liverpool grabbed a late consolation through captain Steven Gerrard. Watch all the goals from the game below:
