[Teams] Chelsea vs Aston Villa: Confirmed Line-ups

By on December 23, 2012

Chelsea welcome Aston Villa to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon looking to climb back into the top three.

The Blues currently sit seventh in the table after Saturday’s results but a positive result today would see the European champions move back into the top four with a game in hand.

Interim boss Rafa Benitez has named David Luiz in midfield for the game with Brazilian Ramires left on the bench and Gary Cahill playing alongside Branislav Ivanovic at the back. Victor Moses continues in attack alongside Juan Mata and Eden Hazard. Frank Lampard retains his place in midfield.

Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Chelsea Team

Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole, David Luiz, Lampard, Moses, Mata, Hazard, Torres.

Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Ake, Ramires, Oscar, Marin, Piazon.

Aston Villa Team

Guzan, Lowton, Baker, Clark, Lichaj, Holman, Westwood, Bannan, Herd, Weimann, Benteke

Subs: Given, Bowery, El Ahmadi, Ireland, Bennett, Delph, Albrighton
