By on December 29, 2012

Tottenham Hotspur moved third in the Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday lunch-time.

The hosts took a 1-0 lead into the break after John O’Shea was on hand to fire home from close range following a free-kick, but Spurs turned the game on it’s head with a quick-fire double shortly after half time.

First Carlos Cuellar put through his own net for 1-1 in the 48th minute before Aaron Lennon scored an excellent solo effort that turned out to be the winner just 3 minutes later. The win moves Tottenham above Chelsea into third with the Blues playing Everton on Sunday.
