[Teams] Everton vs Chelsea: Confirmed Line-ups

By on December 30, 2012

Chelsea take on Everton at Goodison Park this lunchtime looking to reclaim third place in the Premier League table.

The European champions dropped to fourth after Tottenham beat Sunderland 2-1 on Saturday but they can move back above their London rivals if they avoid defeat today. But Everton have top-four aspirations of their own and could in fact move above Chelsea with a win of their own.

Rafa Benitez has recalled Frank Lampard who plays alongside Ramires and David Luiz in midfield. Garry Cahill continues alongside Branislav Ivanovic at the back in the absence of captain John Terry, while Juan Mata and Eden hazard support Fernando Torres up front.

Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Everton Team

Howard, Jagielka, Baines, Heitinga, Distin, Naismith, Pienaar, Hitzlsperger, Osman, Jelavic, Anichebe

Subs: Mucha, Oviedo, Gueye, Barkley, Vellios, Duffy, Browning

Chelsea Team

Cech, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Ivanovic, Cole, Luiz, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Torres

Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Ake, Marin, Oscar, Moses, Piazon.
