Liverpool kicked off the new year in style with a comfortable 3-0 win over Sunderland at Anfield on Wednesday night thanks to a double from striker Luis Suarez.

The hosts took an early lead when Sterling was sent clear by Suarez before the pacey winger cooly lobbed over the on-rushing Mignolet for 1-0. It was 2-0 less than 10 minutes later when Suarez fired home before the Uruguayan got his second after Steven Gerard put him in on goal with a stunning long-range pass. Watch all the goals below.
