Rodgers Claims Skint Liverpool May Make One More Signing

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers claims he has limited funds available to further strengthen his squad but hinted he may bring in one more signing this month.

With the January transfer window now open for business we’ll be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer gossip. Today, Brendan Rodgers hints at one more addition.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told he has limited funds available to further strengthen his squad but hinted he may be able to bring in one more signing this month.

Despite the transfer window being open for only a matter of days, the Reds boss has already managed to add to his attacking options after bringing in forward Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea.

But Rodgers has told fans they shouldn’t expect too much activity for the remainder of the window due to the lack of funds available at the club, but hinted he may be able to make one further addition to his squad this month.

Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Rodgers said:

“We are not going to have a lot of money to do anything [else] in the window.

“We won’t have that in January. There might be another but there is not much more business to be done.”

Several names have been linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, with the Mirror reporting today that Blackpool winger Tom Ince is trying to push through a move to his former side after Liverpool reportedly had a £5m offer rejected by the Championship side.

Its better if we get loan deals done in the remainder of the window if we have to. Its a big risk signing some players. And their prices will be inflated anyway, just look at A.Carroll, worth at most 15million at that time but LFC paid 35m. Its better if we can negotiate loan deals that are of less risk. Thank God we signed Sahin on loan, I bet He would have been labelled an expensive mistake if we paid let’s say £16m for his permanent signing. Get behind rodgers, confidence is high on the team and since it seems we are better winning away than @ home this season, who says we couldn’t pull off the 12points against the mighty Man utd, city and Ars?

We are apparently trying to offload Sahin due to his lack of playing time and hefty wage. About Carroll, I heard that Newcastle said that we must pay £15 Million less than what we got for Torres, so if we sold Torres for £15million we might have got Carroll for free 😀

Then why go after Carroll with 35 million. We could have bought very talented players instead of him!!
