[Teams] Man Utd vs Liverpool: Confirmed Line-ups

By on January 13, 2013

Manchester United welcome fierce rivals Liverpool to Old Trafford this afternoon looking to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

United currently hold a seven-point advantage over second-placed Man City so would go ten clear with a win today. However, Liverpool are in desperate need for points themselves as they try and move back into contention for a top-four spot.

With Jonny Evans injured, Sir Alex Ferguson has reunited Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand at the back for the game with Danny Welbeck preferred to Javier Hernandez in attack.

New Liverpool signing Daniel Sturridge is on the bench today with Stewart Downing and Raheem Sterling preferred in support of Luis Suarez up top. Italian Fabio Borini is back in the squad after over 3 months out.

Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Man Utd Team

De, Gea, Rafael, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Carrick, Cleverley, Kagawa, Welbeck, Young, Van Persie.

Subs: Amos, Jones, Valencia, Anderson, Giggs, Hernandez, Smalling

Liverpool Team

Reina, Wisdom, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Lucas, Gerrard, Allen, Downing, Sterling, Suarez.

Subs: Jones, Carragher, Henderson, Sturridge, Borini, Shelvey, Robinson.

Now we’ve seen the teams, what’s your score prediction for the game?
