Colombian Midfielder Set To Snub United

With the January transfer window now open for business we’ll be keeping you up-to-date with all the latest transfer gossip. Today, a Colombian youngster is ready to snub Man Utd.

Colombian midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero has revealed he would prefer to snub the advances of Manchester United in favour of a move to Inter Milan, according to the Mirror.

The 19-year-old joined Serie A outfit Pescara on loan last summer from Atletico Nacional and the Mirror claims he has been watched closely by Premier League giants Manchester United this season.

Quintero has confirmed United are among a list of clubs who he has the option of joining and while he doesn’t want to rule out a move to any top team, he claims he would prefer a move to Inter Milan over Manchester. The youngster is quoted as saying by the Mirror.

“United? No, I like Inter,”

“I prefer the Nerazzurri because they have a lot of South Americans at the club. And I’m happy in Italy.

“Saying that, it is clear that I would not turn down other strong teams because I’m ambitious. Manchester, Milan and Juventus [are all options].

“I’ll decide with my family and with my agent.”

The newspaper claim Pescara are going to take up the option to buy Quintero when his loan finishes at the end of the season, but the Italian side will then immediately sell him to a bigger club – presumably at a healthy profit.

The Mirror suggest a fee of around £10 million has been mooted but the player insists he still has a lot of work to do to be worth that much. He continued:

“I don’t know if I am worth that. I still need to learn and work hard. I need to improve as a player.”

No self respecting black footballer wants to sign for SAF. Those that are at the club already are half hearted and in transit dsposition.
