Manchester United are in the capital this weekend to take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane and we’ve got an injury and team news update ahead of the game.

The bad news for manager Sir Alex Ferguson is that defender Jonny Evans will once again be out with a hamstring injury. The Northern Irishman picked up the problem against West Ham earlier this month and is still not fit to return to action.

Speaking at his weekly press conference at United’s Carrington training ground today, Ferguson told ManUtd.com:

“We’ve got a strong squad. Jonny Evans still isn’t available, he’s not 100 per cent.”

However, Ferguson was able to rest several players for the FA Cup replay win over the Hammers at Old Trafford on Wednesday, so has a fresh squad to chose from for this weekend. He continued:

“Other than that, we’re not too bad. We got a lot of players a game on Wednesday and I thought they did well. It was a good performance.”

ManUtd.com claim in their match preview that Nemanja Vidic is available to play after suffering concussion against Liverpool last weekend. Winger Ahsley Young remains out but Nani, Wayne Rooney and Anderson all return to Premier League action after all being out through injury in recent weeks.

Now we’ve got the team news, what would your line-up be to face Spurs this weekend? Get involved in the comments section below.
