[Teams] Liverpool vs Norwich: Sturridge & Carragher Start

By on January 19, 2013

Liverpool welcome Norwich City to Anfield today looking for a win to close the gap on the top-four.

The Reds currently sit in eight place in the Premier League table but a win this afternoon would see them move level on points with sixth-place Arsenal and within striking distance of fourth-placed Tottenham.

Brendan Rodgers has handed new signing Daniel Sturridge his Premier League debut as he supports Luis Suarez up front along with Stewart Downing. Martin Skrtel is rested so Jamie Carragher comes in.

Goalkeeper Pepe Reina has picked up a calf strain so Brad Jones starts in goal. Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Liverpool Team

Jones, Wisdom, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard, Henderson, Suarez, Downing, Sturridge.

Subs: Gulacsi, Allen, Borini, Sterling, Shelvey, Robinson, Skrtel.

Norwich Team
