[Video Goals] Chelsea 2-1 Arsenal: Blues Hang On To Beat Gunners

By on January 20, 2013

Chelsea held on to beat Arsenal 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to move to within six points of second placed Manchester City.

The Blues came flying out the blocks and raced in to a 2-0 lead in controversial circumstances. Juan Mata opened the scoring with a fine finish but replays showed the Gunners should have had a free kick in the build up after Ramires had fouled Coquelin in the centre of the park. 10 minutes later and it was 2-0 when Frank Lampard slotted home a penalty after Ramires was adjudged to have been fouled by Szczesny, but again replays showed the Brazilian was lucky to get the decision.

Arsenal were a different team in the second half and pulled one back through Walcott but despite intense pressure, Chelsea held on for the win. Watch the goals below.
