Chelsea’s woes continued as they slumped to a late 3-2 defeat to Newcastle in a thriller at St James’ Park on Saturday afternoon.
The home side took the lead thanks to a glancing header from Gutierrez just before the break but Chelsea hit back just after the re-start through Frank Lampard who smashed home from outside the area. Rafa Benitez’ men went ahead thanks to a beautiful Mata strike but Newcastle new-boy Sissoko was the hero bagging a double, including a 90th minute winner to seal the three points for the Toon.
