Liverpool slumped to a disappointing 0-2 loss to West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on Monday night to all but end their slim hopes of a top-four finish for another season.

Captain Steven Gerrard wasted a golden opportunity to give Liverpool the lead when Olsson was adjudged to have fouled Suarez in the area but the midfielder saw his penalty saved by Foster. The visitors made them pay and took the lead only 4 minutes later when defender McAuley was allowed a free run at a corner and headed home past Pepe Reina for 1-0 in the 81st minute.

Albion sealed the three points in the final minute when Lukaku added a second after a swift break. The result sees WBA leapfrog Liverpool into eight with the Reds a full 12 points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham. Watch the goals below before the content gets removed!
