[Teams] Man Utd vs Real Madrid: Confirmed Line-ups

By on March 5, 2013

Manchester United welcome Real Madrid to Old Trafford on Wednesday night for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie which is finely poised after a 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu in the first leg.

The game sees Cristiano Ronaldo play United at Old Trafford for the first time since he left the club in 2009 but no doubt he’ll be looking to put sentiment behind him tonight and get one over his former employers.

The big team news is that Wayne Rooney doesn’t start for United as Sir Alex Ferguson goes with Nani, Ryan Giggs and Danny Welbeck in support of Robin van Persie. Here are the teams:

Man Utd Team

De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, Cleverley, Nani, Welbeck, Giggs, Van Persie

Subs: Lindegaard, Rooney, Evans, Valencia, Young, Kagawa, Hernandez

Real Madrid Team

Lopez, Arbeloa, Varane, Ramos, Coentrao, Alonso, Khedira, Di Maria, Ozil, Ronaldo, Higuain

Subs: Adan, Pepe, Kaka, Benzema, Albiol, Modric, Callejon

Now we’ve seen the teams whats your predicted score for the game? Leave your suggestions below.
