Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League in heartbreaking fashion as they beat Bayern Munich 2-0 at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night but the Germans progressed on the away goals rule after the tie ended 3-3 on aggregate.

The Gunners got off the the perfect start when Walcott set up Giroud to tap home after just 3 minutes to make it 3-2 on aggregate. Laurent Koscielny ensured it would be a nervy final few minutes for Munich as he headed home a second with four minutes on the clock but Arsenal couldn’t find the third they needed to qualify and the Bundesliga outfit progress to the next stage on the away goals rule.
