[Teams] Southampton vs Chelsea: Confirmed Line-ups

By on March 30, 2013

Premier League football returns after a two week international break and Southampton welcome Chelsea to St Mary’s on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues head into the game sitting third in the league table, just a single point above Tottenham, but now only four behind second placed Manchester City so Rafa Benitez will know victory today is vital in not only consolidating their place in the top-four but also aiding their push for second.

The Spaniard may have one eye on Monday’s FA Cup clash with Man Utd as Ashley Cole, Ramires, David Luiz, Eden Hazard and Demba Ba are all on the bench. Juan Mata misses out through illness. Here are the confirmed line-ups for the game:

Southampton Team

Boruc, Clyne, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Shaw, Schneiderlin, Cork, S. Davis, Puncheon, Lambert, Rodriguez.

Subs: K. Davis, Fonte, Ramírez, Fox, Forren, Ward-Prowse, Guly

Chelsea Team

Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry, Bertrand, Mikel, Lampard, Moses, Oscar, Marin, Torres

Subs: Turnbull, Cole, David Luiz, Ramires, Hazard, Benayoun, Ba.
