Chelsea take on Premier League champions Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday afternoon in the semi final’s of the FA Cup.
The Blues have just returned from a gruelling trip to Russia to take on Rubin Kazan in the Europa League, with the west Londoners booking a semi-final date with Basel after winning the two-legged tie 5-4 on aggregate.
Boss Rafa Benitez has been in front of the media on Friday afternoon to conduct his pre-match press conference ahead of the City clash and he gave Chelseafc.com a team news and injury update including the latest on Demba Ba and Ryan Bertrand.
Ba was ineligible for the Kazan game last night but may have missed out anyway after being forced off against Sunderland last weekend with an ankle problem. However, Benitez has confirmed the striker has trained today and is in contention to face City this weekend.
Left-back Bertrand also missed the trip to Russia through illness but he too has returned to training and should be fit to start at Wembley on Sunday.
Benitez also confirmed that his squad suffered no fresh injury concerns meaning Ashley Cole, Gary Cahill and Oriol Romeu are the only players unavailable.
