Chelsea Blow As £20m Deal On Verge Of Collapse

Chelsea’s proposed £20m deal to sign Andre Schurrle is in danger of collapse after Kevin De Bruyne rejected the chance to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan next year

Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, more on Andre Schurrle’s proposed move to Chelsea.

Chelsea’s proposed £20m deal to sign Andre Schurrle is in danger of falling through after Kevin De Bruyne rejected the chance to join Bayer Leverkusen on loan next season, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims Chelsea had agreed to let winger De Bruyne join Leverkusen on a season long loan as part of a £20m deal that would see forward Schurrle move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

However, it seems the young Belgian international has other plans with the Mail suggesting he has rejected the move to Leverkusen in favour of a permanent transfer to Borussia Dortmund, with the Champions League semi-finalists understood to have offered him a five-year deal to move to the Weserstadion.

Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller was quoted last week as saying that Schurrle wouldn’t be leaving for Chelsea unless De Bruyne was part of the deal, so it leaves the Blues on the verge of losing one of their key transfer targets unless a resolution can be found.

De Bruyne joined Chelsea from Genk in January 2012 but is yet to make a first team appearance for the club. He’s currently enjoying a hugely successful season on loan at Werder Bremen but it seems he won’t be forced into another loan spell against his wishes.

The Mail claim Chelsea’s ideal scenario would be to sign Schurrle and loan De Bruyne out for another year before deciding his long-term future, but with Dortmund believed to be willing to pay £13m this summer they may be tempted to cash in and sell. Where that would leave the Schurrle deal is unclear though.

Why cant we do a straight cash deal for Andre Schurrle, or if we have use a player than use Marin to go on loan for the season. KDB deserves his chance, he will be great at Chelsea and a crowd favourite. For Emanelo our chief scout should be saked and kicked out Chelsea a.s.a.p he is the one trying ruin our youth set up Chelsea. To get rid of a player that has not been given a chance, especially since we signed him for £7MILLION is a joke, its makes out beloved club look so bad. Th quicker Mourinho joins the better for CFC.

Chelsea have talent to burn and Falcao is of more interest.
Of more concern is Lamps. He is our leading scorer in the EPL this season and maybe soon of all time.
He has stated money not an issue and he would take a pay cut. No one converts a half volley like Lamps and I rate him higher than my boyhood heroes Jimmy Greaves and Bobby Tambling. What an inspiration for future players he could be!!!
