Despite the transfer window being closed there is still plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Atletico Madrid eye Luis Suarez to replace Radamel Falcao.

Atletico Madrid have identified Liverpool striker Luis Suarez as a potential replacement for Chelsea-bound Radamel Falcao, according to the Express.
Reports last month claimed Blues owner Roman Abramovich had already made contact with Falcao’s agent – Jorge Mendes – to make it clear they want to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer with the Express claiming the Russian billionaire is prepared to meet the 27-year-old’s £50m buy-out clause at the end of the season.
It appears Atletico Madrid are bracing themselves for the Colombian’s departure with the report suggesting the La Liga outfit have been linked with Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez and Chelsea’s Fernando Torres in recent months.
However, it seems Atletico have now turned their attention to controversial Liverpool striker Suarez with the newspaper claiming Diego Simone has identified the Uruguayan as the perfect replacement should Falcao complete his move to west London.
Suarez is currently serving a 10-game ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and could be offered a way out of England this summer, but Atletico will face stiff competition for his signature with the Express suggesting Bayern Munich and Juventus are also interested in the 23 goal striker.

With all the talk around Suarez of late and the severity of his 10-game ban, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if he decided he want’s to quit the Premier League at the end of the season. Brilliant as he is, Suarez has endured a turbulent time on Merseyside with several run-in’s with the FA so he may decide it’s time for a change. Liverpool will be keen to hang on to their star man but if he does push for a move, he won’t be short of options.
Do Liverpool fans think the club would sell Suarez this summer? Do Chelsea fans feel Falcao will end up at the Bridge? Get involved in the comments section below.

Falcao is no doubt a better striker and wil surely perform at chelsea but wil never do more dan wat van persie is doin at man.u. So i wil say falcao 4 £50m is madness. Go 4 lewandoski wit debrune&£20m, Benteke at d rate of £15m, den lets give a tryer 2 lukaku and let Torres, malouda, benayoon, marin(loan)all be on dr way.

That Torres failed doesn’t mean Falcao will fail. Falcao, and shruh will be ok. Chelsea’s problem now is just a pulished striker like Falcao and shruh. We hv enough defenders and attacking mildfielders. If Lampard wil leave then we will need a replacement. Den finally d special one will hv to come to complete his unfinished job. With Morinho Hazard will be d best in the league next season.
