Loic Remy has confirmed he would like to remain in the Premier League next season paving the way for a potential move to either north London or Merseyside this summer, according to the Express.

The France international striker joined Queens Park Rangers in January from Marseille but despite scoring 5 goals in 11 appearances, he was unable to prevent the west Londoners from being relegated from the top flight this season.

The Express claims the 26-year-old has a buy-out clause in his contract – believed to be worth the same £8m figure that QPR paid in January – that can be activated now that Rangers have dropped down to the Championship.

The report suggests that Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham are all interested in triggering the clause and the quartet have been boosted after Remy confirmed his desire to remain in the Premier League next season. When asked if he thought the Premiership suited him, he said:

“I feel like it is, in every way. There’s more pressure and there’s more contact, though there is more space, too.

“They play deep here and I like that. It’s the perfect League for me.” Remy is quoted as saying in the Express

Despite their late-season return to form, Arsenal have looked short of options up front at times this season while Tottenham’s current crop of strikers have found goals hard to come by, with Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor only managing 14 goals between them so far this season.

Liverpool added Daniel Sturridge to their attacking options in January but boss Brendan Rodgers could still be on the look-out for more reinforcements this summer and Everton are desperate for a regular goal-scorer, with only Marouane Fellaini hitting double figures this campaign.

The quartet could all do a lot worse than look to Remy at the end of the season and after settling well in the Premier League, the Frenchman may have his pick of north London or Merseyside this summer.
