Chelsea have named a 25-man squad that will travel to Holland for Wednesday’s Europa League final against Benfica at the Amsterdam Arena.
Captain John Terry along with midfielders Eden Hazard and John Obi Mikel are on the plane but there is no indication yet over their fitness. Terry was stretchered off during the final stages of Saturday’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa with a knee injury and is a major doubt to start the final, but he’s in the travelling party and his fitness will be assessed ahead of the game.
Hazard was also forced off at Villa Park with what looked like a hamstring injury and he too is considered a doubt for the Benfica clash while Mikel has missed the last four matches with a hip complaint.
Defender Ryan Bertrand also makes the trip despite being missing in recent weeks with a knee problem, midfielder Oriol Romeu is in the squad despite not featuring since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament back in December and surprisingly striker Demba Ba is also on the plane even though he is cup-tied having played for Newcastle in a previous round.
Here is the full 25-man squad announced on chelseafc.com earlier today:
