Chelsea overcame Everton 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to ensure a third place finish in Rafa Benitez’s final game in charge.

Juan Mata opened the scoring early on but Steven Naismith levelled shortly after after pouncing on a mistake from David Luiz. However, Fernando Torres won it just after the break to secure third in the Premier League and send Benitez off with a win.
