ARSENAL TO SHOP IN JANUARY SALES FOR STRIKER

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that he plans to enter the transfer market when it re-opens in January, with a striker top of his wish list.

Wenger confirmed the news to the clubs official website, stating that the injury to Robin Van Persie, which will leave him out for up to 5 months, has left him with little option but to replace his star striker:

“I didn’t feel we were in the need to buy anybody but we will be out on the market that is for sure now. However we will only make a decision if it suits us.” he said.

Arsenal fans will be pleased to hear Arsene plans to dust off his cheque book, but thoughts will now turn to who the replacement will be. No doubts many Arsenal fans will dream of star names such as David Villa, but since Van Persie’s injury Arsenal have been linked with a surprise move for Ruud Van Nistelrooy as well as renewing their interest in long term target Maruan Chamakh.

Who do you think Wenger will sign? Leave your thought below…..
