Latest Arsenal transfer rumours. Today, Ryo Miyaichi looks set for a loan move to Feyenoord while Arsene Wenger has renewed his interest in Etienne Capoue.

Etienne Capoue

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Ryo Miyaichi looks set for a loan move to Feyenoord while Arsenal have renewed their interest in Etienne Capoue.

Ryo set for loan move

First up and the Daily Star are one of several media outlets who are reporting that Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi looks set to join Feyenoord on a season long loan this summer.

The 20-year-old Japanese starlet enjoyed a superb loan spell at the Dutch club during the second half of the 2011 season and it seems they would like to take him back after he’s struggled to make an impact in England.

Miyaichi was sent on loan to Wigan Athletic last season but saw his time at the DW Stadium hampered by a series of niggling injuries which restricted him to just 4 appearances. It appears Arsene Wenger doesn’t feel he’s ready to make a push for first team football at the Emirates just yet, so another loan spell is expected and Feyenoord now seem to be the most likely destination.

Miyaichi’s career has stalled somewhat so hopefully another stint in Holland will get his confidence back and he’ll be able to return to Arsenal next summer and challenge for a spot in the first team squad.

Gunners back in for Capoue

Next up and talkSPORT are reporting that Arsenal have renewed their interest in long-term target Etienne Capoue after being knocked-back in their attempts to sign Lars Bender from Bayer Leverkusen.

Boss Arsene Wenger is expected to add to his midfield options this summer and was reported to have made a record bid of just under £20m for Bender earlier in the week, but it was rejected by the German outfit who insisted he wasn’t for sale at any price.

talkSPORT claim this knock-back has lead to Wenger renewing his interest in Capoue – who we’ve been strongly linked with in recent transfer windows – but we could face competition from Inter Milan, Monaco and Everton for the 24-year-old’s signature.

Capoue has spent his entire career at Toulouse but with two years left on his current contract he could be set for a move this summer and the report suggests it would take an offer in the region of £8.5m to persuade the Ligue 1 outfit into selling.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Capoue’s so I’d love to see him join the club this summer, but we’ll have to wait and see if the boss turns his apparent interest into an official approach.
