With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Tottenham have completed the signing of Paulinho.
Tottenham Hotspur have announced on their official website that they’ve completed the signing of Paulinho from Corinthians after he agreed personal terms and completed his medical.
The north Londoners revealed last week that a deal had been agreed with Corinthians for the box-to-box midfielder and he was given permission to fly over to England to discuss terms and undergo a medical examination.
It seems those formalities have now been completed with the club confirming on TottenhamHotspur.com that the 24-year-old is now a Spurs player. While Tottenham have not revealed the fee paid, it’s widely accepted that Paulinho has set them back a fee in the region of £17m. He told the clubs official twitter account:
Paulinho: "I am very happy and excited to have joined Spurs. It's a huge pleasure for my career to be at a club as big as Tottenham."

The Brazilian international has been one of Corinthians key men in recent years, scoring 20 goals in 86 games to help them to the Brazilian Serie A league championship in 2011 as well as the Copa Libertadoers and FIFA Club World Cup in 2012, with his displays seeing him make the Team of the Year both seasons.
He announced himself to England fans with the equaliser in a 2-2 with Brazil last month and he played an important role in helping the Samba Stars lift the Confederations Cup last Sunday.
It looks like Tottenham have signed a real talent and his powerful build and aggressive playing style means he should have no problems adapting to life in the Premier League.
