Marouane Fellaini Fears Dream Arsenal Move Is Dead

According to the Independent, Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini fears his ‘dream’ move to Arsenal is dead because Arsene Wenger has other priorities in mind.

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Marouane Fellaini fears his move to Arsenal is dead.

Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini fears his ‘dream’ move to Arsenal is dead because Arsene Wenger has other priorities in mind, according to the Independent.

With the Frenchman believed to be armed with up to £70m to spend this summer, we’ve been linked with a whole host of marquee names in recent weeks, with reports suggesting Everton’s giant Belgian international is one of a number of key targets for Arsenal.

However, as yet there has been no official movement in the transfer market and much of the gossip in recent days has centered around Arsenal trying to sign two strikers, namely Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain, while any talk of signing Fellaini has all-but disappeared from the back pages.

The Independent claim that Fellaini is now fearing his ‘dream’ move to Arsenal will not go through this summer as he feels the boss will only buy him if he’s got enough money left over after buying at least one world class striker.

The report suggests the Belgian international has a £23.5m buy-out clause in his contract but that expires on August 15th, so unless Wenger manages to bring in his new striker within budget before that date, any proposed move for Fellaini is likely to be off.

I understand we have a set budget to work to and big-money signings can take time, but I’ll be devastated if we end up missing out on Fellaini, particularly if we also don’t bring in a big name striker before the start of the new season.

We’ve been crying out for a powerful presence in midfield for years and Fellaini would fit the bill perfectly. He’s also got bags of Premier League experience and is the type of signing that would show we mean business next season.

Amid all the talk of moves for the likes of Suarez or Higuain, we shouldn’t overlook other targets who are far more accessible, such as Fellaini. Ideally we could get a world class striker AND Fellaini on board in the coming weeks, now that would be a real statement of intent by the club, but I won’t hold my breath….

You don’t blame players who threaten to take their love, support and loyalty going by the way the manager and board penny-pinch while SERIOUS clubs sign most of the much talked about “top, top players” according to Wenger. When will the emotional torture and trophy drought end? Those fans who are not season ticket holders subscribe to Pay TV and run other expenses just to watch Arsenal, so please stop swearing at the poor fans!

Do us a favour everyone. Learn how to write english and speak english and stop supporting my club. I have supported arsenal for 20 years through thick and thin and not just because of success but because of the love for the passion of the club. Its not all about signings and success, the excitement is in going to watch them whether they win or lose and the atmosphere. Piss off and support chelsea if you cannot appreciate the club for what it is. Plastics.

Well said Andi… First of all you have to read the comments three times to actually make sense of them, then when you have made sanes of them you just realise they lack passion and commitment.

I have supported the Arse for 33 years, through the lows and highs.

Arsenal til I DIE, not just until something better comes along.

Please be sporting with your response. There is nothing wrong with a fan venting his frustration about the inactivity of our club in the transfer market. If we don’t buy right we all know what the result will be. Trophiless. Then the wait and torture will continue for the fans. Going to the stadium does not just make you a great fan. We must all voice our concerns without one thinking he is superior to the other. Wenger must act now.

The board ‘AFC’ and mr Wenger, it’s good to have the like of ‘ suarez, fellaini and williams’ in Arsenal squared, these three players have the premier league experience, if we sign them they are enough for us in this season
three standing pole we always have a concrete base, let do this bcuz they are compatable players AFC
