With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, more on Gonzalo Higuain’s proposed move to Arsenal.

Gonzalo Higuain is still keen on making a move to Arsenal but Carlo Ancelotti has planned to hold talks with the striker to try and persuade him he’s still got a future at Real Madrid, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Argentinean hitman has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer and reports last week suggested a £23m move was close, with some even claiming he was set to travel to London last Friday to undergo a medical.
However, Madrid apparently pulled the plug at the last minute and upped their asking price and the Gunners have since turned their attention to Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, but their also struggling to make any headway with that deal.
Now, Spanish newspaper Marca are reporting that Higuain is still hoping to secure a move away from Madrid this summer in search of a new challenge, but the La Liga giants are not going to give up without a fight and Carlo Ancelotti has planned to hold talks with the 25-year-old on Monday in a bid to persuade him to remain at the Bernabeu.
This may all boil down to how much the player wants a move. If he’s really determined to leave then in all likelihood, he’ll go this summer. However, Marca are also stating that if Higuain does make it clear he wants to go, the club are still going to demand a fee in the region of £27m for his services.
Will Arsene Wenger be willing to go that high for the Argentinean international? We’ll have to wait and see….

Its all lies… they are all false bids… there is no real intent to buy these players…..
Why?
Maybe arsenal are just trying to impress the fans.
The owners are only interested in making
Money and not spending it.

He is negotiating his own pound of flesh – if he spends prematurely he may have to take a cut in wages as he professes to pay good players. He looks after No.1 first then he considders the club – My alegions would also be where his are if failure is not a criteria by which my pay packet is measured – He should have been a politician – always answering and saying nothing – Politicians also remain in power by making false promises and pretending to be doing what the people want – Selfich punk – that is what he is.No negotiating ability apart from his own bank balance.

It’s funny how some Arsenal fans go about blamin Wenger on transfer issues even as he is answerable 2 his employers. But no manager would go publically exposin d weakness of his club board members.Arsenal board have their own policy n not Wenger.
