Transfer News: Arsenal Flop Rejects Dutch Move | United Register Interest In Taider

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Nicklas Bendtner rejects a move to FC Twente and Manchester United have registered their interest in Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider.

Bendtner rejects Twente

First up and talkSPORT are reporting that Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has rejected a move to FC Twente because they refused to match his wage demands.

The Danish international has been told he can find a new club this summer after falling down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium. The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons out on loan, the latest in Italy with Juventus where he failed to score during his 10 appearances last season.

talkSPORT claim the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Malaga have already held talks with the striker but neither have been able agree terms and it seems FC Twente have now joined that list with the report suggesting Bendtner has turned down the chance to move to Holland, with the Dutch outfit failing to meet his wage demands of £1.7m per season.

Arsenal are just desperate to get Bendtner off their books but it seems he’s struggling to find a club that will pay what he’s currently on at the Emirates, but he’s got just over a month to resolve his future of he may be forced to stay in north London.

United eye Taider

Next up and talkSPORT are also reporting that Manchester United have registered their interest in signing Bologna midfielder Saphir Taider.

New boss David Moyes is believed to be keen on adding to to his midfield options this summer and has been strongly linked with the likes of Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas and more recently Juventus’ Claudio Marchisio.

However, those deals appear unlikely to come off and talkSPORT claim the champions have now contacted Taider’s agent to register their interest in signing the £15m-rated Bologna youngster.

The 20-year-old, who was born in France and capped by them at Under-20 level before registering with Algeria at senior level, joined Bologna from Grenoble in 2011 and has emerged as one of the most highly-rated young midfielder in Serie A.
