Tottenham Announce Official Squad Numbers For 2013/14 Season

Tottenham have announced their squad numbers for the upcoming season with Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Nacer Chadli all given their new numbers


Paulinho: gets the No.8 shirt

Tottenham Hotspur have announced their official squad numbers for the upcoming season with summer signings Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue and Nacer Chadli all given their new numbers.

Brazilian midfielder Paulinho arrived from Corinthians in June and has been handed the No.8 shirt while record signing Soldado will wear the No.9 after completing a £26m move from Valencia.

Belgian international winger Chadli has been given the No.21 shirt while the latest addition to Andre Villas-Boas’ squad, Capoue, will wear the No.15.

Other changes from last years squad numbers see right-back Kyle Walker move to the No.2 shirt after Clint Dempsey vacated the jersey, Lewis Holtby is now No.14, Andros Townsend No.17 and youngster Tom Carroll No.28.

Interestingly, Heurelho Gomes has retained his No.1 shirt despite being nowhere near AVB’s first team plans. Here is a full run-down of the squad numbers:

    Jake Livermore? He has gone to Hull City on loan for a year. Number 10 – Please no, if you don’t give him a squad number maybe, just maybe he will piss off to kebab land and never darken the lane ever again. Also please don’t give a squad number to Pablo Osvaldo, would not want to see him in a Spurs shirt, save 10 for Lamela, Leandro, Eriksen or even the tea lady
