[Video Goals] Arsenal 1-3 Aston Villa: Horror Show For 10-Man Arsenal

10-man Arsenal put in a horror show as they lost 3-1 to Aston Villa at the Emirates on the opening day of the season. Watch highlights with all the goals here:

It was a nightmare start to the season for Arsenal as they gave away two penalties and had Laurent Koscielny sent off as Aston Villa ran out 3-1 winners at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts got off to the perfect start when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was released down the left and found Olivier Giroud who swept home for 1-0 inside 6 minutes. The visitors had the chance to draw level when Szczesny hauled down Agbonlahor in the area. Benteke saw his spot kick saved but he was on hard to head home the rebound for 1-1.

Then came the turning point in the game when Cazorla gifted possession to Villa and Koscielny was adjudged to have brought down Agbonlahor as he burst into the box. However, replays showed the Frenchman got a touch on the ball. Benteke made no mistake to make it 2-1 and Arsenal’s task got even harder when Koscielny was sent off for a second bookable offence shortly after. Villa added a late third as they broke from an Arsenal corner.

Wenger and ref Taylor are equally to blame for the shambles today. We should not have been 1-2 down, there was no penalty and therefore should have continued with 11 men, which would at least have been a fair match.
Wenger is totally responsible for his prevarication in the transfer market , chasing lost causes and his inability to identify strategic weaknesses in the team.
We are unlikely to progress further in the champions league on this performance and its likely casualties.
    Worse than 0-3 to Coventry.

Buddy you can keep him. And Suarez stooping??? We are talking about a serial biter, diver and the man who committed the worst cheat in a world cup ever. If he stooped he’d be at sub sewer level.

Well what a totally predictable disaster.
I will not be renewing my Arsenal Club membership this year as I do not feel the club is capable of using the money to in any way improve the club and as we bow out of the champions league, ( and we will nor be back for some years once we do) which will happen ( if not against the turkish match fixers then certainly next year as we will not qualify) im watching the death of the club I love. Sorry Gunners maybe after some changes in club mangement I will return but I cannot continue in my support.I think Im going to start following baseball.
