Arsenal Table £20m Bid For Juve Ace Paul Pogba

Arsenal have tabled a record bid, thought to be in the region of £20million, for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to various reports on Monday night.

With the summer transfer window in full swing, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Arsenal are in for Paul Pogba.

Arsenal have tabled a record bid, thought to be £20million, for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to various reports on Monday.

The Gunners has endured a frustrating summer so far with boss Arsene Wenger missing out on a number of high profile names so far. To compound his misery, the club have suffered a number of injuries to key first team players with midfielder Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the latest names to be ruled out of action.

It seems Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa, combined with the bad injury news, has sparked the Frenchman into action in the transfer market and the Telegraph are reporting that he’s tabled a bid for Juventus’ powerhouse midfielder Pogba. The newspaper doesn’t disclose the exact amount but ITV sport are claiming it’s £20m.

Football Italia are also reporting Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder however they feel it’s highly unlikely that Juve will be prepared to let the French international leave this summer, with boss Antonio Conte understood to hold the player in high regard and has instructed club officials not to sell him at any price.

Pogba moved to the Serie A champions from Manchester United on a free transfer last summer after failing to agree terms on a new deal at Old Trafford and has impressed at the heart of midfield, scoring six goals in 38 appearances last season.

He’d be an excellent addition to the Arsenal squad if they managed to pull it off, with his athletic presence in midfield exactly what we’re missing at the minute, but it looks extremely unlikely anything will come of this. A deal for Yohan Cabaye is far more feasible, with the midfielder left out of Newcastle’s trip to the Etihad on Monday night after Arsenal saw a £10m bid turned down.

Very powerful player. Buy immediately. Also buy Rami. Add power to our children’s team. Buy Kondogbia and go back to the power game of Vieira, Gilberto and Sol Campbell with those three.

It’s like being stuck on the circle line with the train not stopping. Going back to the old targets talked about in June. Back to Cesar, Williams, Fellaini, Bender, Pogba, Higuain (No, sorry, we cocked up that one). Amateur hour September 2nd 11pm

Really wish Wenger would pull this off. I don’t think it’s gonna happen though. Would prefer John Obi Mikel

Just get De Rossi in and not some young kid then nobody will go waltzing through our midfield like Agbonlahor did.
And if you want goals don’t waste time chasing ghosts by trying to get Rooney(Man U will not sell to us)buy Jackson Martinez from Porto(£34.4m release clause)35 goals in 43 games and a better scoring record for Colombia than Falcao, or even get Falcao himself

Ian, spot on. Why we didn’t ask for De Rossi in exchange for Gervinho I will never know.

We all saw city, chelsea nd united play, very impressive. Does Wenger think he can eclipse such perfmnce by whoever he is bringin in now? Michu, Pogba nd Cabaye? All dis players we are linked wth we relatively no bodies last season nd today we gona pay over £20m for each… Wenger miscalculated nd should have foreseen that buyin players @ the last minute will result in being held ransom. Persnally I think he should go big or go home! Get Bender or felliani, Rooney, Suarez or Lewandoski, Sanchez, a Good CB, a Keeper. Can the board pls make proper bids! U cn start biddin Rooney @ £20m cause its a waste of time for which its nt on our side

Useless offer.Too late for about…a month ago. At this point I’m surely completely don’t understand what the hell Arsene’s been doin’ with that 70M pounds. Or yeah I forget… he’s been doin’ nothing. I feel, right now somewhere in hell Satan Kroenke are laughing at us, as he punk’ed us all over again. May his soul rotten in hell.
