Mystery Club In Talks With Spurs Over Late Bale Hijack Attempt – Man Utd?

At least one unnamed club is in talks with Spurs over the signing of Gareth Bale and the north Londoners insist they are yet to agree a deal with Real Madrid

With the summer transfer window in full swing, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, a mystery club is in talks over Gareth Bale.

At least one other unnamed club is in talks with Tottenham over the potential signing of Gareth Bale and the north Londoners insist they are yet to agree a deal with Real Madrid, according to Sky Sports News.

The La Liga giants have been chasing Bale all summer and reports over the weekend suggested a world record £86m deal had finally been agreed after the 24-year-old flew to Spain on Saturday and agreed personal terms worth £8.5m per season.

However, Sky Sports claim their sources have indicated today that NO deal has been agreed and Spurs are in fact negotiating with at least one other unnamed club over the Welshman’s signature, with several offers believed to be on the table.

Manchester United were linked with a move for Bale earlier this month with David Moyes understood to be keen on bringing in a marquee signing this summer to placate worried fans following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, but it remains to be seen whether the champions are one of the clubs who have submit a rival bid.

They are, however, one of only a small number of clubs who have the financial muscle to compete with Madrid for this kind of deal. When you’re talking about a world record fee in the region of £86m, you’d think only PSG, Monaco, Man City, Chelsea and United have the financial firepower to pull it off.

I still fully expect Bale to join Madrid and this could be Spurs leaking false information to try and force the Spaniard’s into paying their asking price. There’s just over a week to go and this deal looks like it could be one that goes to the wire.

Daniel Levy wouldn’t sell any English club a cold virus, and certainly not Gareth Bale …. so my money would be on PSG being this mysterious club if in fact it exists. But then why would Bale want to such an inferior league, cos I don’t see him as a mercenary who is just in this game for the cash? What I really think is that this keeps Perez guessing, and Levy’s playing Madrid at their own game 🙂

Only a stupid Manure sucker could write this crap suggesting that they could be a bidder for Bale. Every intelligent English fan knows damn well that Daniel Levy will not sell the club’s best player to Manure or any other EPL club for that matter.

We won’t sell to them, but it doesn’t stop us from using them to apply some pressure to Real. We have played this tranfer window well and for once we can use utd to some extent to aid us.

PSG or Monaco? Or Levy just tapping up the tapper upperers of Madrid? Maybe after what Chelski did with Willian, Levy and Lewis are thinking, stuff you, we’ll hold onto Bale and have a shot at the title? Who knows? COYS!

United can’t buy someone like Bale, look at what a crap summer utd have had so far. Maybe ED deadwood offer 40 mil and say well I tried but they didn’t want to sell. Wish david gill was still the man doing the transfers at utd we myt of actually gotten a player in by now.

Maybe Rooney is on his way to Chelsea for £40m, and Moyes might be willing to use the Rooney cash plus his entire transfer kitty to put up a late fight for Bale. Wishful thinking, but in football nothing is possible!
