Arsenal secured a vital away victory in their Group F opener on Wednesday night with Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey sealing a 2-1 win over Marseille at the Stade Velodrome.

A forgettable first half ended goalless but the Gunners opened the scoring when Walcott slammed home a volley following a poor clearance from Morel. The in-form Ramsey then made it 2-0 with a deflected strike from the edge of the area before the Welshman gave away a last minute penalty, Ayew making no mistake from the spot.
