United started the brighter of the two sides and went ahead through Welbeck in the 18th minute after some good work from Fellaini. However, the home side persevered and made it 1-1 when Taison was on hand to fire home in the 76th minute. Neither side could force a winner so they remain level at the top of Group A on 4 points with Bayer Leverkusen now just a single point behind after they beat Real Sociedad 2-1 in tonight’s other fixture.
